KANIYAKUMARI TOURS

Kanyakumari formerly known as Cape Comorin, is a town in Kanyakumari District in the state of Tamil Nadu. It lies at the southernmost tip of mainland. Cape Comorin is the southern tip of the Cardamom Hills, an extension of the Western Ghats range along the west coast of India. Kanyakumari was one of the important towns of the ancient Tamilakam (Sangam period) and is a popular tourist destination.


KANIYAKUMARI - KUMARI AMMAN DEVI TEMPLE

This is the first Durga Temple created by Lord Parasurama and is also one among the 108 Shakthi Peethas in the world. Kanyakumari Devi Temple is situated in Tamil Nadu. Kanyakumari is a cape at the southernmost tip of the Indian peninsula. The name Kanyakumari stands for Kanya(Virgin) and Kumari(girl).

THIRAVATTAR SREE ADIKESAVA PERUMAL TEMPLE

In pasurams, Nammalvar refers Thiruvattar as 'Valamikka vattaru'. Mahavishnu is refered as Adikesava Perumal and Thayar (Mahalakshmi) as Maragadhavalli Naachiyaar. This Temple is older than Padmanabha Swamy Temple at Thiruvananthapuram. The lord is lying on his snake couch and has to be viewed through three doors.

SUCHINDRAM STHANUMALAYA PERUMAL TEMPLE

Sthanumalaya Perumal Temple is located at Suchindram in Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu.This temple is dedicated to Trimurthis -Brahma,Vishnu and Shiva. The name Sthanumalaya denotes the combination of the Trimurthis. Sthanu is a synonym for Siva, Mal for Vishnu and Ayan for Brahma. It is believed that the top, middle and base of the Linga in the temple represent Siva, Vishnu and Brahma respectively. Suchindram is also famous as Njanaranyam.

NAGERCOIL NAGARAJA TEMPLE

Nagercoil is a south Indian Naga adulation centre located in the Kanyakumari district, on Kerala -Tamilnadu boundary. This destination may be quite similar to everyone as its a main trade centre of south. But a good number of the people are oblivious about the Naga Temple here, which is very old and of enormous devotional significance.

DEVI KANYAKUMARI

Devi Kanya Kumari, is Shree Bhagavathy in the form of an adolescent girl child. Devi is also known as Shree Baala Bhadra or Shree Baala. She is popularly known as "Bhagavathy" (Durga) or "Devi". The Bhagavathy Temple is located in Cape Kanya Kumari in Tamil Nadu; the southern tip of main land India, there by located on the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean. She is also known by several other names, including Kanya Devi and Devi Kumari. She is also worshiped as Shree Bhadrakali by devotees.

KANYAKUMARI CHURCH

Our Lady of Ransom Church is a Catholic church located in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, India. From the shore where the fishing boats are moored you can see the three towering spires of this off-white Gothic structure with a distinct Portuguese feel. The Church of Our Lady of Ransom is a more than 100-year-old building dedicated to Mother Mary. But what catches your eye first-up is the 153-foot-high (46 meters) central tower crowned with a Cross of pure gold. Truly a beautiful structure; the church looks particularly gorgeous against the molten-blue noon sky.

SHIRDI SAI BABA TEMPLE

Shri Ragavendra Sai Baba Shrine was inagrauted on March 24th 2010. The Sai Baba Shrine was named as Shri Ragavendra Sai and this shrine is present in Shri Ragavendra Temple. Shri Mohan, the founder of 'Shri Ragavendra Brindavam Mahathanapuram' was seeking employment in abroad for five years and after the failure he started his life as an auto driver. In the year 1986 'Shri Somaiajulu Bhagavathar' a true devotee of Rama, advised him to visit manthralayam.
